I am a grade 12 learner and so far grade 12 is great for me although it requires a lot of hard work. The things that I do not like about grade 12 are the assignments like it is a lot for me but I try to do all of them. there are these afternoon classes which I don’t like, like after school I am really tired and need to go home and rest after a long day, and at that time I’d be really hungry. I would like to have tutors who would help me with the following subjects, mathematics, physical sciences and life sciences. I really appreciate what VisionAfrika did for me, the Saturday classes they organised for us, because some of my classmates didn’t get space there and I did because I am part of vision Afrika. I hope the guys from VisionAfrika will continue helping me as I will too work hard showing them that I appreciate what they are doing for us

I am happy to be part of Vision K because Vision K is a good programme for the youth. Vision K guides us in our studies so that we can achieve our goals. One day I would like to be a Vision K assistant. At Vision K we have exciting things for example camps, outings. There is a lot. But what we have enjoyed is a camp we were had a lot of fun. But what I will not forget is the time when we went to Cape Town to Table Mountain. Wow! It was so difficult to climb the mountain but I really enjoyed the climb because I wanted to see the Table Mountain and because I had never been there before. Vision K took us there and it was fun. Thank you Vision K.

First of all Vision K stands for Vision for Kayamandi. So it clearly means that the organisation has a vision for the place called Kayamandi. I think the organisation saw the talent and the brilliance of the youth of Kayamandi so they decided to help us to build our future and we are very grateful for that. For me the organisation has helped me a lot. It helped me to have more life skills and I thank them for that.

I had a great time at camp because I got along with everyone, so it was very nice to meet new people. And the camp was something I didn’t expect would be like that. I even learnt more about myself. The highlight of the camp was the moment everyone was sharing personal things. We even cried for each other. I just want to thank the organiser of the camp for the wonderful experience.

It was a fun packed experience but educational at the same time. We had a lot of fun! I mean, I had fun learning and playing at the same time. I don’t know what the others about their experience but I’m sure they have the same idea!
I gained a lot because just now at school in our Computer Applied Technology class we are doing exactly what we learned during the lot. I mean, I also had to take what Phathuxolo taught me during the holiday and show that I really really learned as I say I did. So it was a quite fantastic experience.
So I hope there will also be a next time (please wish fairy grant me this wish). I also wish that the others feel the same way.
But Lizelle has to come back or else we are going to die because of hunger!! During this wonderful experience we didn’t eat anything. Even if she comes back she will see that we’ve lost a few kilo’s.

The moment I loved the most since I joined Vision K is when I was interviewed by the facilitators. On that day I almost had a heart attack because of the shockness that I had. When I got the sms that was the most shockness I had in my life. I was like: is this for real? I didn’t believe it until we met as a group. And thats when the heart attack started to cool down. Since then I told my self that I was a Vision K member.
And another moment that was the best is when we were chatting with one of the girls of Vision K about what we want from guys. That really changed my because I always thinking that most of the guys only want to sleep with us and then go away. But since then I realised that my thoughts were wrong. Another thing that helped me a lot is the spider diagram. It really helped me in such a way that I don’t forget anything that I’ve been taught in school, instead I assist the teachers with his teaching.

I would like to thank the Vision K crew for everything you have done for us. I wrote this letter to thank you for the movie, camps, food and the support that you give us. I would also like to thank Tata Paseka for what he is doing for us and I would like to thank our leaders from spending their time for us. I really appreciate what you are doing. I also thank you guys for being supportive to me and also for being kind to me. I really thank you Vision K crew.
I would also like to thank Mr G for spending your time for us and for giving each and everyone of us love, kindness, and respect.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I feel so good and I’m very grateful being a Vision K member because I’m close to many opportunities that we as youth don’t see.
Vision K has helped me through the challenges that I face through life, shown me how to handle them, and helped me through my studies. They give us extra classes so we can be helped through the subject we suffer most in and taught me how to set goals and why it is important to have goals, etc. They taught us about brain storming/study methods as well. Vision K has helped me to do something that I’m not good at: making new friends/meeting new faces of people. It has helped me a lot.
Vision K really inspires youth and I thank them for changing my life. Now I wish I could help too. May God bless them and give them strength to move forward.

I would like to thank Vision K for your support and everything that you guys do for us. It really means a lot to us to know that there are people who still care about others because nowadays people just care about themselves. Thank you for your kindness keep up the good work. May God bless you and your family. I pray to God that you never change and help other people not just us Vision K members. Once again thank you. It comes from the bottom of my heart.
Since I have been in Vision K my life changed and Vision K keeps me away from many things that young people do these days. I learned a lot in Vision K like communicating with lots of different people and respecting each other. And I learned that life isn’t about good things only and that life is not that easy for anyone. There are people like me out there and even here, people whose lives are similar to the one I’m living.

Vision K had a nice camp when we first met and also it took care of making sure that we eat and we are safe. If there is someone with problems in the group the leaders would ask he/she what is wrong. If there is something eating you they would talk to you and tell you how to deal with things like that.
The outings were very funny but in Table Mountain was the worst outing ever but I liked it in the end. I like Vision K for many reasons but what I like is that they don’t judge people of who they are and where they come from they like other people around. And they take care of us most of the time. The programme is a very good one because they take children who are done in Grade 9.

I learned a lot about HIV. Many of us did not know how you can get HIV or what the consequences are. It was very interesting.
It was very interesting to learn about HIV and we have learned a lot about how we can get HIV. Many of us were surprised by certain things about what can happen and how to get HIV. We were surprised, well not really surprised but we just really did not know that there are three types of having sex.
The HIV sessions have brought a change in my life because I now know that the things that I thought were responsible for HIV, are in fact not the things that give you HIV.

I experienced that in life when you fall down get back up and try again and again until you get better. If you believe in yourself, that you can do it on your own, you just got faster and better. So it is just that you believe in yourself you can do it no matter what anything you can do if you just believe in yourself that is what I have learned on the ice rink. “Believe in yourself and you could do anything”.
Ulricha Machelm
I enjoyed every moment I was on the ice. I thought that I couldn’t do it but Emily just gave me hope and then I believed in myself and was not scared anymore. I was surprised because I didn’t know that I can do it but there I was on the ice. I think if I go for the second time I would do better. It was really awesome.

Sometimes you think that everything is impossible but then you haven’t tried it. When you get behind that then you see it is not so hard. You must tell yourself that I can do it if you’ll get it right then it’s not so hard so be CONFIDENT!!
Jerome Adams
I experienced the ice skating very breath taking because I were very good at it because my balance were excellent. And I was full of self-confidence.

I think that I can now ice skate. I enjoyed the ice skating. Emily told me don’t give up you can do it. I believe in myself. It was my first time. I want to go for a second time it was fun.
Patricia Afrika
It was for me a great experience when I come there I told myself that I’m not going to do this because it is so hard but when I saw my friends I told myself that I can also do that I enjoy myself. I want to go for a second time and I know I will do better.

It was very good for me, because I was thinking that I would not make it but then I tried and I got it right.

I experienced it very good, because I thought I wouldn’t make it, but then I tried and I got it right.
